After selecting your bridal gown, it is our goal to make sure that it fits perfectly on your wedding day. A fabulous fit not only makes you look beautiful but will instill you with confidence on your big day. Alterations include changes such as modifying the length of the hem, adjusting the fit through the body, and creating a beautiful bustle. Our skilled seamstresses, with decades of experience designing and altering bridal gowns, have a single objective: to make you look exquisite.
In-store gown fittings take place on Mondays (10am-5pm), Tuesdays (12-8pm), and Wednesdays (12-8pm) and are done by appointment only. You should expect a minimum of four visits – three fittings as well as a final appointment to pick up the gown. For extenuating circumstances where you cannot come to the boutique on Mondays or Thursdays, one of our seamstresses owns a studio in New Milford, CT where she can work with you during other weekdays and on the weekend. If you live far away and cannot make it to Connecticut for your fittings, we will reach out to our network of bridal boutiques around the country and provide you with a list of recommended seamstresses in your area.
We believe the alterations process is one of the most misunderstood and complex parts of what we do, because helping our brides achieve the perfect fit is a unique process specific to the bride’s body and the gown itself. To help demystify the process, we have put together a document explaining “Alterations at A Little Something White“. Of course, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us!
