What did you enjoy most about your experience with A Little Something White?

Oh my goodness, where do I begin! This is the salon you dream about buying your dress in. The ambiance couldn’t be more lovely with wooden floors, big picture windows and flattering light. The consultants are all so warm and excited for you, and each one of them popped their head in to see me once I said I picked the one! Ashley was my consultant and she struck me the minute I came into the store. She was so upbeat, excited, and understood my vision right away. She helped me put on my gowns and gave me a veil to try on with my first dress. When I stepped out in front of my mom and my maid of honor it was the first time I really felt like a bride (even though I had tried on dresses before at another salon). Ashley had me come out into the big mirror with heels and a veil and that did it for me! She was so flexible and let me try on the two I couldn’t decide between multiple times before finally settling on the one I wanted. She then gave us champagne and let me wear it while we filled in the paperwork (I didn’t want to take it off!) She never forced her opinion on me, but when I asked she gave an honest answer and that was so important to me. She cared that I was making a decision that was right for me. Their inventory is stunning. The selection is just right: not too many that you feel overwhelmed, but enough options that would cater to any type of bride. They also have a gorgeous selection of bridesmaid dresses and mother of the bride dresses. So in sum? I cannot decide what my favorite part of my experience was, but I could not have been happier with my experience at A Little Something White!

How did you and your husband meet?

Neal and I met during our introduction ceremony to our college and became fast friends. Our mutual love of good food, goofy fun and family made us fall for each other quickly. We had been best friends for seven years before he asked me to marry him.

How and where did you get engaged?

After seven incredible years as my best friend, Neal proposed to me on the beach at sunset. We were taking pictures together, admiring the view and when I turned back around he was down on his knee!

What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

Oh gosh, to sum it up into a few sentences, just about everything. Waking up knowing it was my wedding day, getting ready with my best friends, putting on my dress, seeing Neal for the first time as my dad and I walked down the aisle, saying our vows to each other, looking out into the church seeing all of the people we loved, our first dance, dancing with my dad, Haley’s speech, Lane’s speech, and seeing the biggest smiles on both mine and Neal’s parent’s faces. We ended the night with great wine, delicious food, and dancing until we couldn’t feel our feet. It was the most special day that was everything we ever could have wanted.

What surprised you most about shopping for your bridal gown?

I did not realize how much goes into your dress after you purchase it! Saying yes is the best part, but there are so many more details to work with after the fact. A Little Something White stays in touch with you regularly, works with you through the trying on and ordering bridesmaid dresses, and scheduling and setting up all of your fittings up until your big day. Bridget is a phenomenal seamstress who uses a perfect mix of fitting the dress the way you want and giving you her opinion of where it should fall. Ashley and her team are incredibly organized and all you have to do is show up and you are taken care of.

If you could give a piece of advice to a bride going through the process now, what would it be?

First of all, make your first appointment at A Little Something White (of course). Second, keep an open mind. Try on dresses you admire on the hanger, but also be open to suggestions from your consultant. They know their inventory and know what style and fabric will look best on your body. Finally, go with your heart. Pick the one that makes you light up and never want to take it off.
