What did you enjoy most about your experience with A Little Something White?

This store is my happy place! It’s bright, airy, and intimate. You just feel good every time you walk in. I was a little apprehensive about wedding dress shopping because I could see myself getting overwhelmed in a big, busy store with pushy saleswomen. Ashley made this process SO FUN! My friends were able to pull dresses that they thought I might like, and Ashley had a great sense for my personality/style. When we found the dress, we all cried- an amazing moment!

How and where did you get engaged?

We were at a friend’s beautiful property in the Catskills. I was relaxing in a hammock when Jon came out of the house and said, “Babe, I’ve got something to ask you…” and got down on one knee. I was so surprised and excited, I fell out of the hammock!

What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

Good question! I was beyond happy and pinching myself from the moment my family arrived on that Thursday, but I would say that my favorite part of the day was dancing with all of our friends and family. At one point, Jon pulled me close and told me to look around and take it all in. All of our favorite people together in one spot! So much love!

What surprised you most about shopping for your bridal gown?

I was surprised that I actually cried and had that moment where you just know it’s the right dress. I liked a lot of dresses and didn’t know how I would decide on one until I got that feeling. I felt beautiful and completely myself in the dress I chose.

If you could give a piece of advice to a bride going through the process now, what would it be?

Have champagne at every step of the way! Sometimes planning a wedding can seem like a long to-do list, but you want to slow down and make each step of the process as fun as possible. Also, stay true to yourselves as a couple and to your priorities.
