What did you enjoy most about your experience with A Little Something White?

Although Alex grew up in Connecticut just down the road from A Little Something White, Alex and Gabe currently live in Singapore. Planning a wedding from such a distance was a big challenge, but Ashley and team were a tremendous help. They were able to schedule fittings around tight travel schedules. Time was always an issue, but stepping into the beautiful boutique felt like a protective bubble with no rushing. The selection was great making the final choice the hardest part of the experience.

How did you and your husband meet?

Alex and Gabe don’t remember when they first met. The best guess is that it must have been somewhere around the fall of 2002 in New York City. At a friend’s dorm room/apartment? A bar? A restaurant? Who knows? The point is that Gabe and Alex have been friends for a long time. They can’t remember the first time they laid eyes on each other, but they definitely remember their first date on October 3, 2012. Sipping fancy cocktails and watching the sunset over Sydney harbour was amazingly romantic and more than a little scary. They had discussed taking their relationship in a different direction but weren’t really sure what would happen… They were engaged one year later.

If you could give a piece of advice to a bride going through the process now, what would it be?

Don’t suffer from decision fatigue: choose a few details that are really important to you and focus on those.
