I’m Ashley, founder and owner of A Little Something White. Within days of opening our doors in 2012, I knew I had found the career I wanted for the rest of my life. Having recently left the financial world to take this giant entrepreneurial leap, I found myself absolutely smitten with every facet of this business - learning the details of your wedding + picking gowns that help bring your wedding to life, being a calming voice when you’re worried + going to the moon and back to solve any issue that arises, hand-selecting gowns for the boutique from our talented designers, and even digging into an excel spreadsheet to figure out how to make ALSW even better.
It’s a good thing I own a bridal salon, because I am surrounded by boys at home. My husband, two boys, and Golden Retriever puppy are the loves of my life and their support is the reason I am a successful working mom. I wear a LOT of hats…too many sometimes…and when not at the boutique you will either find me volunteering at my kids’ schools, riding my Peloton bike + lifting weights, biking with my kids, reading a book, drinking a Cosmo with my sis, or belting out the lyrics to a Backstreet Boys song.
Not long after opening our doors, a bride joked that I am the “Bride Whisperer” and I have taken that title to heart, even using it for my Instagram handle (@thebridewhisperer) and Peloton profile (#BrideWhisperer). That is because when you come to ALSW to find your gown, I will celebrate with you the same way I would with my sister (who is also my best friend in the world). When an issue arises, I will always put your needs before my business because you ARE my business.
