THE GOWN // Q&A WITH ALSW BRIDE KAILYN///

What did you love most about working with A Little Something White Bridal?

"I had an incredible experience with ALSW and I'm so glad that I chose them for my bridal salon. What I loved most about my experience with ALSW was the intimate setting. Kim took time to really understand what I was looking for in my bridal gown. And later, my seamstress went above and beyond to make sure my dress was perfectly fitted. From the moment arrived to start my search to the moment I left with my dress in hand, I felt like the entire ALSW team was in my corner!"

///

What would you recommend to a new bride beginning her gown shopping?

"Trust your gut and make your opinion the priority! There are so many people with opinions throughout the wedding process, and at the end of the day, the only person that needs to love that dress is you! I would also recommend keeping your dress a total secret until this big day. The only people that saw my dress were those I went shopping with (my mom, mother-in-law and sister-in-law) and my maid of honor. It was a hard secret to keep but seeing everyone's reactions on the day of was priceless. I will forever treasure my "first look" pictures with my bridesmaids and immediate family."

THE LOVE STORY // Q&A! WITH ALSW BRIDE KAILYN

///

How did you meet your husband?

"My husband and I met the first day of freshman year at Xavier University. We were very close friends for a long time and then started dating later in college."

///

How did he propose?

"Well, the story of how my husband was suppose to propose is a far more interesting tale! We live in Washington, D.C. and he had planned to propose on the back of the Lincoln Memorial...however, I am known to be a little difficult to surprise and I kept unintentionally derailing his plans! He ended up proposing at home in our apartment a few minutes before we were headed out the door to meet my parents for brunch. It absolutely blew me away and it was a perfect, quiet moment between the two of us."

///

What was going through your mind as you walked down the aisle?

"Walking down the aisle was one of my favorite moments of the day, which in retrospect, is kind of funny as it was the part I was most nervous about! However, the second those doors opened I was instantly filled with so much love and joy. I couldn't stop looking around the room. It's truly an incredible experience to see every single person you love in one room, at one time and I couldn't stop thinking about how blessed I am."

///

If you could go back and relive a moment from your wedding day, what would it be?

"That is such a hard question! We truly loved every moment of our day. I don't think I have ever been as excited in my life as I was when the priest announced us as Mr. and Mrs. Foy and we walked (...rather - basically ran out of excitement) back down the aisle! However, the small in between moments really stick out in my head too! Turning around during the ceremony and seeing all my loved ones looking back at me -- watching our family enjoy the day with our closest friends -- seeing everyone's reaction when we walked into the reception! All the small moments that I could have never planned for are what made the day beyond perfect."
