Eveningwear Specialist

We are looking to add an eveningwear specialist to our team. With our 2021 expansion, we have added an eveningwear and mother-of-occasion department to our boutique, and we are looking for a stylist to our team. This person will be responsible for both working with clients and helping to establish and grow the eveningwear business at ALSW. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, motivated, hard-working, results-driven “people person” with a proven interest in fashion who has a passion and enthusiasm for the business.


Responsibilities:

  • Assisting evening wear clients in the selection and purchase of their gowns and accessories. This involves establishing a relationship with your clients before they come into the store, continuing that relationship building while they are in-store, and then serving as their confidante from the time they purchase through their wedding day. 

  • Growing the eveningwear business through active outreach to potential customers

  • Working alongside eveningwear customers and their seamstress during fittings appointments to ensure a smooth and enjoyable alterations process.

  • Completing appointment-related tasks such as preparing for upcoming appointments, documenting appointment details, and following up with customers after their appointments

  • Working closely with bridal stylist team to identify key sales opportunities and ensure a smooth transition of the selling process from the bridal stylist to the eveningwear stylist

  • Assisting bridesmaid specialist with certain bridal party orders during high-volume shopping seasons

  • Assisting owner with the establishment and growth of the custom tux and suit business (coming Q1 2022) and serving as a sales assistant for this product category

  • Generating additional business and store traffic through the management of your client portfolio, such as in the areas of accessories or for repeat purchases.

  • Creating a kind and welcoming yet fun and exciting environment for our eveningwear clients and their families 

Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to work approximately 35-40 hours per week and must be available to work some evenings and most weekends. Probable schedule is Tuesday-Saturday.

  • Must have some flexibility. We are looking for someone who can work additional hours or days occasionally and is ok with some flex in their schedule if, for example, a client’s appointment runs long and extends past store closing time.

  • Must have outstanding customer service skills, an outgoing personality, and a love of fashion.

  • Prior experience in luxury retail sales or bridal sales, fashion, and customer service preferred.

  • References must be provided.

  • Compensation: Hourly plus commission
